The Garage Art Foundry has been casting and fabricating sculpture for artists both locally and abroad for the past 20 years. Run by sculptor and artisan Craig MacDonald, the foundry is located near the central Victorian town of Castlemaine and has access to many local arts related tradesmen working in materials such as granite, stainless steel, glass and timber. Over twenty years, the foundry has refined a process of casting that combines the high definition of lost wax casting with the economy and scale of resin sand casting to provide artists with the best outcome in terms of both quality and cost.
As a small operation with the ability to bring in professional expertise as required, the foundry works with other organizations to give artists access to qualified engineers and riggers as required.
